HELP! My car will not keep idle but runs fine while on road. I wanna go to the track tonight (Cecil County) but would like to figure out whats going wrong. I"ve searched and found a few things and have tried the soapy water test on my uic piping(stock) and found no leaks. What is wrong?

You need to be a little more descriptive of the problem. There are a lot of things that could cause your car to not hold idle. I would to a boost leak test just to be sure that there are no air leaks. you can build your own tester just look at www.vfaq.com

Yes, need more details into your idle problems, could be idle surge possibly, I have that, but its not so bad anymore, going to fix it completely soon... but with your rpms, do they vary drasticly when at idle like it will move from 1500 to 400 and back up and then down again and stall or something like that? If not then check for boost leak.

When I first start the car it jumps to 3000 for about 5 seconds, then drops to about 1500 for few seconds, and then down to 400 where it studders and eventually dies... It's driving me crazy. Guess I'll try a boost leak test. Oh yeah, I have a minor exhaust leak off of the manifold on the bottom left corner. Could this be contributing to the problem? Thanks guys.

Mine did the same thing. I replaced my ISC and it worked wonders. I would highly recommend looking into your ISC. Hope this helps! :thumb:

Well I tested my ISC and it turned out to be okay so I decided to perform some boost leak tests and found that my intake manifold was leaking so I'm looking forward to replacing the gasket on that this coming weekend hoping that will solve my problems. Thank for all of your ideas guys:thumb:
