I have been working on my car trying to get it running for some time now and i went to start it today and the fuel pump only comes on when the key is in the start pos once you let off the key it kills the fuel pump the car is stock as far as i can see besides the viper alarm that someone installed and didnt do a very good job i know the car ran before i got it but i am lot with this one all i have done to the car is new trans new head, valve cover, water pump gaskets and took the push to start button out of it

car:eclipes gsx
Year:1995
motor year/type: 1990/4g63t

Im willing to put all my money on the push start button / alarm having something to do with it. Grab a wiring diagram and make sure that all of the wiring matches the original specs. Aftermarket alarms are usually a pain to deal with, just my 2 cents.

thats where i have put all my money to but who ever installed this damn alarm has wires everywhere i just found 3 more wires hooked up to nothing comming off the wiring harnis and just stuffed away like it was nothing they are all over the place anyway the only wire i found cut from the igition was the one to start the car i cant find anything eles thats why im so stumped on this bs
