Car jumped timing?

I just did my water pump about a week ago and in the process I obviously changed the timing components as well. I drove my car to work today with no problems at all in fact iv been driving it all week with out the slightest hint of a problem. I got off work and started my car to leave and I heard a LOUD knocking so I immediately shut down the engine. I went to start it again hoping that I was loosing my mind after a long days work and I heard a loud noise which im assuming was a piston creaming a valve (car never started). I pop the hood and some how my timing jumped 4-5 teeth? Just wondering a ball park idea of how much damage im looking at from jumping 4 teeth? Also why this would happen? I did everything meticulously! The timing was dead on and the the belt tension was well within specs! The auto tensioner was also within specs. Anyone have any ideas?

Most likely bent valves, and maybe worse damage to the pistons. Generally thats what will happen if you jump 3 or more. Car will have zero compression as well. Time to tear that head apart.

Thanks for the info. I just though it was weird its almost like it jumped a couple teeth the first time I started it, then jumped a couple more and popped some valves the second time. Sucky....anyone want a 2g awd tsi for cheap???
