Car is running but...

I got my car running after doing the headgasket job. I also replaced all the hydraulic lifters when i did this. The car turns on but the idle is bad and it doesnt stay constant. Also the engine sounds deep like a semi truck, there are also heavy vibrations. Is this the engine wearing into the new parts or something else? thanks

Did you check your timing marks again? Sometimes when set the tensioner for the timing belt , the cams can rotate just slightly and your cam timing will be off by a tooth or so
