I've been having this problem for a while now, but recently it has gotten worse to the point where it's pissing me off.

A while ago, while the car warmed up, it hesitated a lot when I press the gas, even when i'm not boosting. After it warmed up, it ran fine. Recently though, it got worse. Now it happens even after it warms up. Happens when i'm not boosting, and gets worse the more i give it gas.

1. I checked for boost leaks, there are none.
2. Spark plugs are less than 10,000 miles old.
3. Have not changed the plug wires since i've owned the car (1 year)
4. Have not changed the fuel filter since i've owned the car.
5. I always used 93 octane gas.
6. There is no audible knock, but there is a little slight lifter tick that gets quieter as the car warms up.

Those are the main things I can think of that would be the problem (i've searched). Is there anything else that I should add to the list?

And also, I noticed my ECU (not sure if it's the ecu, but the noise is coming from where it's sitting) makes a beeping noise sometimes when i left off the gas. Any ideas what that could be?

Change your plugs and wires along with your fuel filter. See how the car acts then. Be sure to check your timing also. Get you some revised lifters...they will be one really good upgrade and will get rid of the ticking noise.
As for the beeping noise, does it sound like the same noise when you open your door with the lights still on and the car off? If so, it is probably the little gray box under the radio. That is the beeper for the car. I just remove mine. It is annoying when I am under the dash wiring up something with the key in the ignition. If it sounds like an electrical beep and it is not that beeper, then check your car for some kind of explosive device :p LOL

The beeping noise is not the same noise with the door open. Infact it does sound more like an electrical beep. The ECU also makes a sort of "grinding" noise when the car is warming up on idle and you tap the gas. Not sure what it could be.

But besides the 6 things i've mentioned in the first post, is there anything else that could cause the hesitation?

Even though you only use "premium" octane, it also depends upon where you get your gas from. I would drive the extra mile to get gas from a BP before I get gas from a Flash Foods
I get gas from different companies all the time, the problem is still consistent.

Your timing ,O2 sensor, and clogged injectors could be a problem too. Check to make sure your ECU is bolted in good and nothing is hitting it. If it sounds like it is inside the ECU, open it up and see if anything is loose. Is your CEL on?

I don't think it's the 02 sensor or the injectors due to the fact that the car does not run rich, i'm more or less assuming it's not because it does not blow out grey or black smoke. CEL is not on. I'll put timing on the list.

If you had clogged filter or injectors your car would run LEAN causing knock and timing to be pulled. This would give you sputter. And yea... it's not normal for your ECU to make ANY noises.

Er...yeah...that makes sense, I don't know why I was thinking rich. I'll be sure to check all that out.
