car goes crazy when stopping

my car gets all weird when i go to stop, sometimes it will surge and my car will jerk me around, sometimes the idle drops down real low and almost stalls, but catches itself and goes up a little, but idles at like 500, and sumtimes it will stop fine, but then the idle will gradually lower to 2 lines b4 zero, like 200 rpms, and then rarely ever will it stop fine and idle fine. wth could be the problem, its been doin this for a long while now.

I think that I have similiar problem to you there...andfor somereason when i turn my wheel while stopped my RPMs shoot up...and when i mess with AC the RPMs go up too...once my car almost died when i turned the AC off..

My car did the exact same thing.. so I turned my idol up a tad.. around 8 or 9... and did a tune up and then it was fine...

I had the exact same problem with my '91 GSX. It turned out to be the IAC. I replaced it and had to adjust my idle again. It's been fine ever since.

That's what I would suggest too, along with vacuum hoses, plugs wires, etc. Just start with the obvious idle control item variables .

well i just replaced spark plugs with ngk, i had nology ones becuz i have the hotwire wires, so i just went with the plugs as well. also mine is an auto, so no clutch. i also put a new tps and isc motor when i put my new throttle body on so...

yeah thats what i do too, when i come to a stop and the idle starts to drop, ill just turn the wheel a little, and the idle will shoot up, but i would rather not have to do that, i would just love t if it stayed at like 800 when i stopped, no surging or nuthin, but alas, its an

Well out of all that i didnt get a Answer the the problem i have an Auto 99 GS with 35k miles and i have the problem of when i brake and come to a stop my revs drop from like 750 to like 500 then to like 400 thne hop back up when i turn the wheel, i ahve NGK plugs wires GApped at what NGK had spec for my car, intake, exaust, i ahevb NO CLUE what the problem is, i was thinking maybe i need to get a battery that can put out a bit more volts to handle the mods or buy a ground kit but i have no clue SOMEONE HELP PLEASE i feel like my babys dying when the revs drop like that
