My car seems to want to die when coming to a stop. It would jerk back and forth and then when it comes to a complete stop, it would stutter. Anyone know familiar with the symptom?

AUTO?

what should i look out for when checking the fluid? how do i know if the level is low or if the fluid is not good?

wow....just wow.

Ok you have a dipstick for the tranny fluid just like you do for the oil. First thing to know is to check the fluid when it is warm so you do it after a short drive. Pull dipstick and whipe clean (engine still running and tranny in park). Insert the dipstick down into the hole wait 3 seconds and pull out. Check the fluid level on the dipstick against the marks on said dipstick.

You may want somebody to show you how to check your oil too :D.
