Car dies or won't start sparatically.

Reading throught the post made by LeJeune123 and his 2G I've come to think I have the same problem, ECM. Since his is a 2G, what things should I look for on the 1G or steps should I take, other then buy a new ECU right off?

I don't know if this applies to N/Ts also (I think it should) but take the ECU out of the firewall, open it up and inspect the board. If you see any molases-like substance on the board or if it smells funny then it might be your ECU. If it is your ECU you could buy another one new, used off of dsmtrader or the classifieds or find someone to fix the caps if that's the problem.
