OK Heres how it went down. I was dropping my buddy off at work, he works at a Car wash and i wanted to get some of the Salt from the road off my car so i had they wash it. Well I am missing my left turn signal light, so they taped up the wires with duct tape so the automatic brushes didnt get caught or whatever. But yea as soon as they started to spray my car with them power washers my Alt. and battery light came on. So after i got out of the car wash my car was running fine and idling normal. So i went to my moms house and before i pulled down her road my car started to idle surge i guess. bouncing from 750-1200RPMs so i parked, shut the car off took the tape off the wires and went inside for an hour. Came out side and the car wont start. I got my dad to give me a jump, drove down the road like 1mile, stopped at a sign and the car died. Got it jumped again, only made it to the next sign. Got it pulled to my house.

Now i took off the Alternator and the starter, got them both checked Alternator failed, i got a new one, car still dies when i apply brakes or have the heat and lights on. Friends dad says bad battery..........LMK what you all think ### im in great need.

Battery is getting checked atm. and it may have killed the alt. but the alt was good i had it tested.

I have a similar problem. My gauge warning lights dont pop up to indicate a bad alternator. But my if i have the lights and fans on they get dim and slow down and as that happens the car heats up instantly (well over heats). The lower the revs at the engine the better off it seems to be. Nothing else has had any impact on my engine temp. I can pop the hood, doesnt matter.

Its a walmart battery ive already had to replace 1 in a couple months...it better be the problem.
