My car has been giving me some issues here and there. Currently the check engine light comes on and goes off. Not a big deal. I tend to notice some interesting engine noise that sounds kind of like lifter tick, but it comes and goes as well. As my RPMs climb to higher than the 4000 range I really start to notice some excess noise that doesn't sound very smooth. And recently when I start the car the RPMs are kind of rough, it idles high (around 1500) even though I have it set to 950 in DSMlink.
My question is, where would be a good place to have an overall diagnosis done on the car to determine if anything major or minor is wrong with it? In the past I've waited till something breaks before trying to fix it and more recently I've been wanting to pro-actively fix the car, so any help in doing so would be absolutely great!
