brake lights are out, fuses relays, checked, etc. wtf

Long time reader, first time posted on these DSM forums. Yes, I've friggin searched all dsm forums and google and found nothing. The stereo was wired wrong and kept blowing driving light fuses, which essentially did something the brake lights. They will not work now. fuses and relays under the hoods have been checked, however they still do not worked. Are there fuses under the dash I am missing for taillights? (both dsm's are missing the plastic cover with the fuse chart) I don't think, any other ideas?
