PLEASE HELP:
CAR: 1991 Mitsubishi Eclipse GSX (5-speed)
My car has 62k original miles. NEVER EVER any modifications whas-so-ever. Car drives perfect at times. And then at other times when I get on the throttle, it just cuts off. If I hold down the throttle while it is cutting of accelerating, it will just be the same. I have to get off the throttle. Check Engine Light is fluctuating from on at times to off at times.
Also, the idle is about at 700rpm (which is grear). and then at times, it will be at 1100rpm at idle, and remain their. Then sometimes idle is at about 500rpm. This problem occures about once every week. Spark plugs and wires have been changed.
Please help, I went to a shop to get it checked, he connected a computer, and for a long time the computer stated not responding or something. He said that the ECU has gone bad. or that a part of it is bad. If that was true, i would have more problems than the one im having. He knew nothing about DSM's at all anyway.
