I looked for 2 hours on what is going on and i can find nothing.

First off my datalogger was left on the other side of my state and i being brought to me tuesday. I have a wideband in the mail and for the time being i was just checking out the maft.

I installed the maft and starting messing around. My car has 510 injectors, full 3in, fmic, 16g, no other fuel mods. so i set it at..

Aux 4
base 8 Wot-0----Base-0 Wot-0
----MAF--------------Spark-----

It is a version 2.02

My narrowband just slowly goes to a mean mixture of rich and no matter what i do i cantt lean it out. I thought maybe the narrowband does absolutly nothing for me and i was adusting slowly trying to not have it bog out on me but no matter what i stayed lean

The kit is for a 1g i got the whol setup for 120 so how could i pass it up. I used what i found on this site to wire it up and i get nothing. The green light and red light come on for 1 sec like the manual says. I have the extender so i can put in the cockpit.

Thanks guys and sorry it is so long. Im just trying to make it accurate as possible.

After the narrowband goes out of range, which is VERY narrow, it won't give you any correct reading anyway. As it bounces around the ecu will keep trying to compensate. If you are going WOT, or another setting that will ignore a lot of the closed vs. open loop settings, then you don't really have any way of tuning.

You are at a serious disadvantage at the moment and I wouldn't suggest a WOT pull or any for that matter. You really have no way of knowing whether you're really running lean or not.

WARNING: Running lean at boost will overheat/blow up your engine! DO NOT do a WOT pull with mods if you do not have a Wide Band O2 sensor.

My car did the EXACT same thing after a MAFT install, It was a Simple Pin in one of the harnesses, They even warn about the pins not always line up and can get pushed out of the socket this will prevent it from making contact and cause you car to run like it doesnt have a MAF.

I ran around with it installed but not plugged in for a month until I checked the stupid plugs...

If its anything other than that it would be a bad MAF...

You have one of the A/F that usually bounces up and down red to green when normal driving, now its just sticking full green after a a few minutes its def something to do with the connection or the MAF itself. Mine did the same thing...

The Computer dumps fuel without a MAF so it will not run the risk of lean mixture...

I was assuming that all systems were being read by the ECU and the assumed rich mixture was based off the narrow band readings. If this were the case, adjusting the MAFT trying to lean it out may make the car run very lean and still not read/show properly on the narrow band gauge. If you're basing it off of black smoke coming out your tail, then you've no worries. ;)

ya i will check the connections. Im just trying to get the base tune and it would happen at the maf. Nowhere else i assum since the maf-t it not throwing any errors.

I just went out there and tried to leanit out. What i decided was to disconnect the maf and nothing happened when i did that. Does that mean i have a bad maf

That's likely the problem, but it really doesn't come into play until you hit about 2.5-3k rpms. At idle, it often can be disconnected entirely and not be a noticeable difference. I have worked on my car several times and thought it was all good until I move it back to my regular parking space and it sputters.

Well the car will idle fine until i hit the gas and then i sputters like a bia. My CEL read Maf or Vaf? Im going to check it out
