ok installed a maft today i put it in the place of where the stock mass air is for the timing being. im waiting on my icp to get here... well after 3200 rpm forget it breaks up horrible. it seems like really when all the boost is kicking in...i set everything on the translator at 0. i have stock injectors my upgrades are fpr steal braided -6an fuel system stock injectors 255 walbro pump 2.5inch apexi exhaust aftermaket 02 hosuing not sure what kind but its huge evo3 big 16g turbo would it act better if it were in the upper intercooler pipe? also my friend told me that his car ran like crap with the maft when the weahter would change anyone else have this problem ?

Did you set it for your injector size? And is the gm mas pointed the right way? It has to face a certain way ("this side towards air filter"), and it should have "this side up" on it somewhere.

A "maft" is a MAF translator (circuits). Im guessing you mean the GM maf installed with the translator?

yes thats what i mean. how do i set it for my injector size i thought for stock it should be zeroed out am i wrong?

It should be on one of the last pages in the manual. I think it's the knob on the bottom all the way on the left.

When I first installed my MAFT I noobed it up and reversed the flow, had similar issues. Would bog down terribly whenever I'd even think about boosting. Flipped it around and it worked great. :thumb: If that isn't your issue, I'd check for boost leaks maybe and of course check your base fuel settings for your injector and maf size.

for stock 450cc injectors your AUX knob should be at 0, the base knob should be on 2.
as for the dip switches (red box in the picture, bottom left of box) for the 3inch maf, dip switch 1 &2 should be off ( pointing down), if you have the 3.5in maf, dip switch 1=on, dip #2=off
