I just did a 2g DOHC head swap on my 97 spyder gs and it wont start. It keeps backfiring. I know It must have something to do with the timing but I just can't seem to find where to go from. Also I know the cam sensor only had 3 wires and were almost identical to the stock ones on the old head so I just rewired them in the same colored order. I'm dying to try it out so please someone help. Ty....

There's so much that can go wrong with that swap..what EXACT process did you follow EXACTLY?

I believe so. They go in the same order as the other head right? The coil base says 1 4 2 3. I'm guessing the head goes 4 3 2 1 right????

Well nothing much. Just plugged the 5 oil holes on the block. Put the head. Used my old sensors and throttle. Wired the cam sensor in the same color code as the stock one.... Thats about it. Oh and stock timing mark on it. Someone said I had to advance it just kinda hard when thats the only info i got to work with.
