i have a question. i am trying to remove my head but i cant get a bolt off. its on the left hand corner. it has a bracket and i cant get it out. i look underneath my car and the bracket is holding a plastic box. sorry if not very detailed. its located beneath my intake manifold.

That is your cruise control, its a pita. I am an RS so I don't have to deal with that crap. Just keep messing with it and you will get it.

ok thnx. do i realy need that bracket. cause the intake man is already being held up by another bracket and as well as my cruise control box. can i just go with out it and cut it off? plus i plan on using an aftermarket intake man. will i still need it then?

A lot of people have removed the brackets supporting the intake manifold without ill effects. Plus, if you install an aftermarket intake manifold it will not likely have the proper mounting points for any of the stock brackets anyway.

Yeah I have first hand experience with said bracket . I even made a video you can look up of what I did with the box and bracket after I was done. The reason it won't come off is cause it's hooked up like a bolt with a stud extension. SO it has a bolt with a regular head and coming out from that is a stud then the box eyelid and then another nut horrible idea in my opinion.

yea thats what i noticed. why couldnt they just put one bolt. so im just gonna cut it off then. where is the video that you said?

I was able to remove the supports by using an extension and reaching up from under the car with little to no trouble.

I had no problems at all to remove this bracket. Went underneath the car and took like 5 min tops.

Well obviously it's not as easy for everyone. You could give some useful tips instead of stating how unbearably easy it was for you like what kinda tool you used how you got to it ect...

Ratchet, socket, jack, jackstands, light, maybe a creeper?

i finally got the head out. i just yanked it out. now how do you take out the valves?
