cannot get slave cylinder off the car

i cannot for the life of me get the slave cylinder off. its only 2 12mm bolts, but the one i can reach is so frozen i cant move it at all, the other is like, directly under the crossmember, so how are you supposed to remove that bolt without dropping the crossmember?

I always remove the crossmember... It is only a few bolts. Make life easy for yourself and don't over think it. Just take out the cross member!

i dont have the tools to remove the crossmember, nothing near strong enough anyway. and no cash to buy tehm either.

The crossmember is only 2 17mm bolts up front and I believe 5 14mm bolts in back. If you have a breaker bar for those that would be ideal, but if not a regular 1/2'' drive ratchet will do the trick.

I usually dont remove the crossmember I just use a 6'' extension and go above it. Maybe try that and if you still cant get it try a pip over your ratchet for a little more torque.. Hope this helps

but theres no way a 12mm socket is going to fit in teh tiny spot allowed to get the back bolt off that holds that to the transmission, i can barely get it through that little crevice at all, much less specifically there...

the crossmember is easy to take off. Also, use some pb blaster on the frozen bolt, put your socket on it, and try hitting the end of the wrence a good time with a 3 pound hammer, that's what I do to break frozen bolts loose

i never read about having to take the crossmember off anywhere before though, isnt there a way to do it without it? and i dont have the tools to do all this stuff i moved to a new state and all i have is a small box of stuff.
