can you use a 2g exhaust cam sprocket on a 1g head

I was wondering if you could use a 2g exhaust cam sprocket on a 1g head.cause my 1g exhaust sprocket was cracked when i got my head.i went to the dealer an he was suppose to order me a 90 but ordered me a 95.so was wondering if i could use that one.an how to line the timing marks up on it.if anyone has any info would be greatly appreciated.thanks Justin

Yes, (If you mean the cam gear...)
The timeing marks line up the same way on a 1g as thay do on a 2g with the dowl pin down on the cam gears....

He going to need it if he aligns the timing marks with the dowel pins down. Perhaps you ment something else. The gears have marks on both sides because they are used as either exhaust or intake. They are in slightly different locations to account for the fact that when properly aligned the the dowel pin on the exhaust is 3 degrees 5 min (a hair to the right of straight up) advanced where the intake is at 0 degrees (straight up). So the marks aren't exactly 180 degrees apart.

The MD170799 exhaust cam gear are the now current part for both exhaust and intake gears on a 1G according to CAPS. 2G's have different gears for intake and exhaust cams again according to CAPS.
