I am pretty sure my master is not leaking fluid level stays the same. When I put in my sbr 4000 clutch ,the older design I think it had very light pedal pressure. Its got a lot heavier.I am pretty sure its not pump up problem. Could be pressure go heavier as broke it in. Have 600 miles on it but the first 500 were being very nice to it.
I just replaced my slave after having some big problems with it. I am pretty sure system is bled ok.Pedal is firm and does engage I would say around middle of travel and have some free play at top to avoid pump up.It seems the clutch was softer when adjusted it and when went for quick test drive but last night during long drive it seemed to be a lot firmer.
So can the master go bad where it won't bleed off and will pump up all the time no matter if you have free play or can something break in the master that would make pedal pressure be higher? I seemed to hear something snap or brake a short while ago when had the slave problem. The slave had one bolt backed out and snapped the other bolt at the slave ear.It was hanging there with no rod or boot!
I loctited the slave bolts this time!
