Can bad master/slave cause clutch slip?

I've been driving on a leaking master/slave for about 2 weeks. I just noticed that my clutch is starting to slip. Could the two be related? I'm replacing the master/slave tomorrow but that won't fix the slipping right?

Usually not related. Your clutch friction disk is probably used up.

is that cheap to replace?

the disk itself isnt much, but if you plan on paying someone for labor to install it, then it can get somewhat expensive.

Improperly adjusted pedal, which induces pedal pump up, can cause this. Quick check is to crawl under the car and push the slave cylinder rod into the slave cylinder body. If you can't, your pedal is adjusted wrong. If you can, then you could have a leaking slave/master cylinder.
