Thats right, you got it! An engine rebuild.... I was driving home tonight and while boosting in third gear i heard a loud pop and the car died. I thought one of my IC pipes came loose again so i got out to look at them and they all looked fine??? after looking around a little longer It just came to me to to look at the timing belt and sure enough. There it was sticking out of the top of the timing cover, The 4g63's beloved balance shaft belt. And now my car wont even start. Anybody throwing out a 7-bolt long block?

i know man, i know. I just bought the car. Had to put a new clutch and transmission in it, wire in a new MAS connector and buy all new cold parts. Then i bought a new BS belt and TB and with the intention of driving it a little until i had the time to change the belts to put miles on the new clutch this is what happened.

Rebuilding a head is easy.

Dont let that get you down. Used built heads are cheap as well.

my buddy said that we have aluminum pistons and when the valves crashed it would pit the heads of the pistons which will cause hot spots in the piston head. Is that true?
