2G Can someone explain this log?ecmlink

Attached is my 3rd gear pull at 23 PSI, e316g turbo controlled by greddy profec b EBC. graphing the MAP, you can see a dip once full boost at 3800 to 4600 then tapers off and continues up till 6500. I cannot for the life of me figure out whats causing the dip. Anyone care to chime in? Thanks in advance

Its important that the valve has its own boost source and its not tee'd off something else like the BOV or a boost gauge. Same thing goes for the boost controller ECU.

If it is hooked up right I would bet it may just be the way the Greddy controls the boost. Maybe they don't have ideal PID values in there or the algorithm is doing something funny.

Since you have ECMLink I'd suggest using the boost control feature in it. It is a very slick feature and works very well with error compensation running. You might even be able to use the Greddy valve unit that came with it.

thanks for the reply. The unit is hooked up as you posted and I do believe you are right about the greddy PID controlling the boost like that. Ive narrowed down the problem to be the unit. I installed my MBC and now it hold 25 psi no problem with no "yo yo" effect as posted. I will give the ecmlink a try when it comes to boost control. Thanks again
