On the driver's side fender, there's a bolt that will not budge. It's one of the bolts that holds on the front bumper. It's very rusted. I've spent multiple attempts trying to pull it out (busted nut off) with PB blaster and vice scripts and nothing works. So I thought I could weld a nut on the end of it that's left and extract it that way. I think that would work fine but it's so close to the ECU I'm worried about frying something during the weld.
I've read you don't even need to disconnect a battery when welding on a car. So I wouldn't be worried except where I'd be welding is about 1.5 feet from the ECU and thought I'd better as the pro welders first before I do it.
Thoughts from the pros?
