can i use a 93 head on a 90 model block?

i found one out in the junkyard in a 93 n/t and i was wondering if i could use it.

Cams are different and the bolt holes are 11mm instead of 12mm like the 1990.

You may want to put your turbo cams in there though. I believe one is the same, forget which one(i think intake). The 93+ has smaller head bolts

Ive swapped many over the years from 90 to 94, i lost track, also used n/t with a turbo block.

The dowels are what line the head up with the block, not the bolts. You can use a 1/2" drill bit to widen the holes. I've done it and know others that have without problems. More important is to make sure the head is flat.

no i never did like i said ive put mis match ones one, never anything else, just put it on make sure its been resurfaced, though.

I put on a 2g head on my 1g block last week, I didn't have to drill anything. The headbolts went in fine, just try it before you put it on... And like other people said, you may want to swap cams, and you'll probably need to bleed your lifters, or maybe upgrade to 3g/revised lifters.
