I am rebulding my head and was wondering if I could reuse my ARP head bolts??? My last engine went through alot but the bolts look like they are in good condition. Am I suppose to replace them when i install my new head or can I use the same set??

You can but it is not recommended. The thread pitch will change because they generally stretch from the heat and wear / tear. It is wise to get new ones with every head job / head gasket change. :thumb:

If you are running stock boost you can more or likely reuse them, but if you are like me and can't leave anything alone :coy: I would advise changing them. (For you 4g63T guys reading this.)

ARP fasteners are, AFAIK, all reusable and the thread pitch does not change with use. After several disassemblies/assemblies it is recommended to change the nuts because they may develop stress cracks. You can call ARP to verify this.

With the studs you will be able to reuse them more often, the bolts are only supposed to be used like 2-3 times i belive. This is with the ARP hardware.

Get the studs. I have heard the studs can be reused a few times and id replace the bolts every time if it were me but either way I think I would replace either one if it were me because its not worth a leaking HG, Just my .02.

you should be able to reuse ARP's.
stock 2g bolts = no you cannot , there stretch bolts.
stock 1g bolts = yes you can.

Thanks for all of your help guys, I decided to just order a new set to be on the safe side and prevent another HG replacement.:thumb: :sneaky:
