Can I paint my vc with paint to match my car?

Powdercoating is the best option, you could use high temp paints and clear to do it but its no where near as strong. Make sure you prep it correctly though or it will never stick and just peel off when tools, etc hit it.

I would recommend powdercoating. Usually it looks better than painting too.

powdercoat if you can,
but i used high temp engine paint and its worked fine.
alot cheaper too

Ive had regular paint on my VC for 30k miles and had no problems

Sprayed mine when i sprayed the engine bay. Actual automotive base/clear systems will not fade and are glossier than a powdercoat, I think.

My friend had a local paint store mix him up an aerosol can that was matched to the color of his car, he used it on the valvecover and it worked fine. I personally like powdercoating better but paint will hol up if you do good prep.

I did a powder coat and it is very shinny. Sorry for the bad photo, it looks much better than that, no blemishes and the color is even all over.

I bought the powder from Eastwood and had a friend do a garage coat.

Cost $9 for powder and I gave him $35 for his time.

I had mine powder coated see my pics the blue is all gone and im going to redo it again, when i pull the engine out to paint the bay. Not sure what route this time ill go paint has done good over the years.

I would say since you are asking that it would probably be a better bet to just fork out the extra money to have it powder coated just like everyone else is saying and you wont have to worry bout it. Unless you want to make a project out of it then do some reading up on it and figure out what you are doing. Maybe try and find someone that could help ya out a little bit. If you prep it well enough and shoot it well, it should turn out just fine.
