Can i make 3in downpipe with cat. deletion fit stock exsaust?

I know this sounds very newbish but for now i dont have the cash flow to pay for the piping.But i do plan on getting full system but for now i need to do this.Because downpipe was so rusted that when my car bottomed out it busted a huge hole in it .

No. Your stock piping is 2.25. Thats a HUGE difference. And would defeat the purpse of have the larger down pipe in the first place.

You beat me to it, but he said is because if damage to his oem one, not for performance reasons. Just cash reasons.

It is one thing to go from 2.25 to 3, but from 3 to 2.25 is different. You would be restricting the flow of the exhaust.

I mean yeah it's very pointless.But if you got to have a downpipe and plan to go full exsaust then i am going to need one anyways.But for now got to have a ride to work to make the money to buy full exsaust.I dont need it to go to the strip and race.

Yes that is your best bet. Shouldn't hurt your wallet too bad. Believe me, I know how you feel. I have a 3inch downpipe with cat delete sitting in my garage, just waiting a 3inch cat back to put with it.

Yea it sucks pretty bad but you know it sucks worst to be a spoiled brat and dont have to work for everything you get thats how i feel .but ### about a piece of 3in test pipe and try and find a break over piece?

Correct. Its going from a pretty much free flowing 3" to a super restrictive 2.25" pipe and it has nowhere to go so it builds up and causes back pressure. Your car will run like crap. Just hit up the junk yard my friend.

Have you thought about possibly just putting a flex pipe over it and clamping it down until you have the funds?

if you have enough money to buy a new downpipe, you probably have about enough money to take your car to a local exhaust/muffler shop and have them build a cheap press-bent full exhaust. another option to think about, at least.
