Downpipe with CAT

I have been looking for a downpipe for quite some time now, however I have yet to find one that will bolt up to a CAT without alot of modification. Most of them state you need a "test pipe". I live in VA so a CAT is a must or atleast my part of the state. The only one I have heard mentioned would be the Apexi downpipe. Anyone running that with a CAT? Also any other downpipes that you would have experience with that dont require alot of modification to bolt to the CAT would be great!

You can use the Megan racing downpipe and that bolts to the cat with no modification. i used it for about 6 months on my car. then i deleted the cat and went with a test pipe. im now running a 3inch custom downpipe and exhuast with no cat or resonater. i still have the megan racing dp in ym garage somewhere still looks brand new. ha im a junk collecter i just cant seem to throw away good parts.

If you are going to buy a new 3" turbo-back exhaust I would recommend Megan racing without the test pipe. Buy a 3" cat and two SS flanges and weld them to fit. Vibrant 3" or Magnaflow (part # 94309) cats are 16" and should perfectly replace the test pipe length.
If you already have a 16" test pipe, you can cut the pipe with the flange on both sides of the oversized section of the test pipe and buy a 13" long cat and two band clamp (Jegs # 555-30733) and just bolt them to the cut flanges. The length of the 13" cat and the clamps and the small peice of pipe are about 16" and should be quite easy to make fit. I have used the latter solution because I have already the test pipe and it worked really well. I tried to upload the pictures of my set up but don't know if it will work.

Ignore the second picture. I wanted to upload this one that show how I cut the flanges from the test pipe. You can find the 3" band clamps at NAPA or truck part store.

Megan racing fit perfect on 2g they make good downpipes

Road Race Engineering also has a downpipe with a 3" cat built in. It's more expensive, maybe too expensive, but it's definately a quality piece.

Everyone else thank you for the information, it would be alot easier I believe if VA wasnt so damn strict with the whole CAT issue. Looks like I will probably be trying a Megan Racing downpipe, I have heard alot of good things with them, hopefully it wont end up PITA.
