I just put on the energy suspension polyurethane torque mounts (OK I only did the front one so far. I will do the back when I pull my intake for another job. Boy that one a bi*** to get at :p ) Maybe I should have gotten the hard mount kit from prothane but I have had previous bad experiences with noisy mounts interacting with picky wives (she sometimes drives it). Any way that mount needs to be done and I am, at this point willing to put even a hard mount in there. I would hate to have to buy the whole mount kit just to get this mount. I did a search like a good little boy but have so far come up empty. Any suggestions?

If you go to prostreetonline.com you can find the prothane motor mounts, and you can either get the whole kit, or you can order each mount separately. ;)

wow that is weird, i just installed my front one yesterday, and am waiting to install the rear when i do that port and polish ;) . well you could try that window weld thing ive seen on 2gnt. where the guy filled it with window weld. or, when i was on there i found a site that sells solid motor mounts individually for all of our mounts. hold up im gonna go do a search on 2gnt right now ill get you that site.

Thanks Chris,
Let me know when you do it so you can tell me the easiest way to get there :p . I do believe that if I pull the W/W resevior (why can't I remember how to spell resevior  ) that I could get there but I want easier access than that.

I took my pulley side mount to a fab shop and told them to weld me a 3/16 plate on either side and weld a piece of tube though the center for the bolt to go though then i filled the other 3 mount with window weld. I finished rebuilding the motor and dropped it in yesterday on my next day off i will hook up the wires and start the car for the first time in 2 months, after i break in the motor I'll let you know how bad the vibration is and if I eleminated the wheel hop. my PC is busted so a can't download pics. but the mount that I had welded looks really good

The pulley side mount will help, but the ones you'll really want are the front and back. Thats the direction the motor twists in.

Do Not Weld The Mount It will Vibrate Your Teeth Out
Im Going To Try Some Thing Else, and Willpost Back.

Very true, but it is the best way to reduce torque loss. I've heard of people taking their mounts off and filling them with epoxy... I don't know what kind. I think there is a write up on 2gnt, but not sure.

ALRIGHT I THINK I FOUND A SOLUTION BROUGHT THE MOUNT BACK TO THE FAB SHOP AND HAD THEM CUT A HOLE BIG ENOUGH TO FIT A CONTROL ARM BUSHING (TRW PART # 14560) THEN WELD THAT ONE UP THIS HELPED THE VIBRATION A LOT BUT WITH OUT BALANCE SHAFTS ITS GOING TO STILL VIBRATE
I THINK WHEN I REPLACE THE STRUTS I WILL HAVE ELIMINATED WHEEL HOP
THE REASON I'M FIGHTING THE SIDE MOUNT IS BECAUSE OF THE 3 DSM'S I OWN ALL 3 ARE BUSTED
MY OTHER 3 MOUNTS ON MY CAR ARE FILLED WITH "WINDOW WELD" ADVANCE AUTO PARTS SELLS IT FOR $11

Devcon 80 Liquid. I used it for my rear one that was torn up. Almost no vibration. I did it in my Laser N/T too... until it got smashed up :)

Good stuff

Well, since were here again, I may as well tell you I used solid mount for the front roll stop and PL-400 (like liquid nails) in the rear. A little noisy but I'm used to noisy.
