Long story short...I tried to start my car, jump it and it just fought hard to turn. Got a new battery, no problems now, starts just fine. Could I have caused damage by trying to start my car and then jumping it? It tried to crank over pretty hard (very slow sounding).

The car "was" sitting for several weeks waiting for slight repairs and a tune before I changed the battery.

So is there "real" concern for the ecu? I can deal with the starter. I noticed my car takes about 5-7 seconds of turning before it starts up now...maybe that's due to the cold weather.

There's NO ECU that "likes" to be jumped off & NO Starter that likes low Voltage - period - It very well could be the cold - hell it's REAL COLD here in South Carolina~! - I'd look at your FPR "delay" but MANY of us have done away with it because we WANT it to spin over a few times & build a little Oil Pressure before starting - So don't worry about it, it's done now.
