Can ABS be installed in a nonABS 91 GSX easily?

I have the potential of buying a nice one with an LSD, but since I ice race here in Alaska, that ABS is sure nice. I know that if I could find someone deleting much of their's I'd still be possibly 4 axles away. Any thoughts on this?

It'd be a lot of work. There's a sensor that sits in the back seat, a computer that sits in the rear passenger side panel, a speed sensor at each wheel (this includes a ring that bolts to the back of the hub), wires connecting all of these, along with the abs unit under the hood.

Totally doable but like guy above said, lot of extra parts to swap, but with the unavailability of ABS 1gs good luck finding one, so if you REALLy want it it's gonna be a full summer project. I have never driven one but I heard the ABS on 1gs is garbage, just some food for thought. I would hate for me or someone like you to put all that effort into something only to be let down as to the performance of it.

I have a 92 Galant VR4 with ABS and it performs flawlessly. It is actually a sleeper iceracing. Folks can't believe this sedan when its taillights show up in front of them right after a good drifted corner! The only thing I need would be a good limited slip rear end for the straight aways. That is where the Sti's start to pass me. So, I was looking at the Eclipses or Talons as a second racer. Maybe getting a functioning ABS equipped car and swapping the LSD would be the easier route.

Swapping the rear end would be much easier, and if you're doing that, upgrade to an Evo3 rear.
