Thanks DSMeclipse4g63 for clarifying that..thats exactly what i was thinking that the Type S runs somewhere around 15.6 1/4 time. Because ive done some heavy beating to most Type S's in the quartermile and some of them were like 1 1/2 second beind.
 
I may not be completly accurate but scc tested one in 90 degree weather and it ran mid-high 16s(not a good hot weather car). Otherwise Id expect mid to low 15s out of them no better.

Yup. My best friend got one and has a CAI and i walked over him, prolly just because of driving but even rolling i still won 2-3 cars. Now hes got CAI, Supercharged, Full Exhuast, all the bells and whistles, shes blue with CF Hood and body kit. Kinda jealous cause i love the look.
 
its a pretty quick car.....I don't know where u got 16 anything.....maybe the base model??? stock for stock they will beat a gst/gsx......once Vtec kicks in they really take off all the way thru redline.....but with only a couple hundred dollars in mods gst/gsx walks away......but stock for stock rsx type s will barely win with equal drivers and so forth.....

DSM speed shifting 101...

push clutch in and take out of gear in the same motion
rip it to the next gear as soon as you feel the "click" drop the clutch and roll

rev limiter takes care of the rpm holding :D

Didn't the RSX-S dyno at like 165 whp in Sport Compact mag?
 
rsx with hondata (9k redline) can give you a OMG on third gear.
on mildly modded gs-t
if you get a bad launch on a rsx w/hondata you will pay for it on 3rd gear..

most rsx around i see around here have i/h/e and hondata.

yeah, no doubt... its happened to me and im a gsx. it was on the high way though. we were pretty even, which suprised me cause, well, i have boost and the other dude didnt. i was then repremanded by a ny state trooper, after which he threatened to take my car away.... but thats another story...
