cam swap

I have a chance to pick up some 1992 tsi 5 speed cams to replace my auto cams. I am wondering if this just a direct swap or if anything is needed to swap them in. Also is there much of a gain that will noticeable or is it not worth it at all.

are you stock? I dont see any mods listed. If you are stock there isnt much sense in getting cams as a first upgrade. If you arent stock, I would look into aftermarket cams rather than stock 5spd cams. IF you want to stay streetable as possible go with hks 264's, good idle and as good as stock off boost performance. It would be a good idea to get some new cam seals while you are swapping out the cams.

get new cam seals .. other than that they are a direct swap. Not worth it though IMO.
