1G Head Swap. Do I need 1g or 2g Skunk2 Cam Gears?

did a 1g head swap on my 98 gst. put some fpver2 cams on there and now im wanting to put cam gears at same time. now do i need the 1g or 2g ones? aem seems to work for both but skunk2 doesnt. can someone confirm the skunk2s and the aem as well in case i want to go with those.

Dont waste your money, better spent elsewhere, like suspension.

I would say skip the cam gears, but that choice is yours.

You could get either 1g or 2g, the only reason there is a difference is that the 95-96 cars had the cam angle sensor behind the intake cam gear and a trigger plate was required. Since you do not have that sensor, any 4g63 cam gear will work for you.

i skipped the gears and went with skunk2 coilovers instead. gonna get agx shocks when im ready to install the coilovers. heh it took me long to decide since people were like 50/50 on getting gears but figured id pass after the adjusting process and having to dyno it a few times and also slipping. thnx for info guys.
