Ok, so I narrowed my problem to the CPS, and I bought a new one from someone off of here, well used, and mine has no plug and is hardwired and the one that I got had a plug. Any way I can do this with out getting a new one? Much appreciated! Car is a 1992 Talon TSI AWD

You are capable of using the CAS. It will just require you to cut off the connect and hardwire it. Does the replacement have the same color wires, or different. I know I have a 90 cas on a 91+ harness and it involved some splicing and finding the right color combinations.
