CAM Gears? Good Idea or No?

I think my stock ones are making a little noise... and i was thinking about picking some up, will new ones help me out? Or is it possible that it could just be the belt or no?

Your cam gears themselves shouldn't make any noise, they are directly bolted to the camshafts, so check if the are rubbing up against the cover or something like that. I'd look elsewhere before just changing the gears.

ok thanks, sometimes they just tick, i think it could just be the belt too, i might just change the belt and see if that helps out...

It is most likely just lifter tick. I would make sure you find out the actual problem before you just start throwing parts at it.

You could get revised lifters and that should fix it if it is lifters. If you decide to replace the timming belt then you NEED to replace the tensioner and the tensioner pullies as well.
