ok i added 2 logs one of just a 3rd gear pull and one or a 1st through 3rd pull

I dont have dsmlink so cant read your logs. Are you saying your getting 9* max timing?? What is your timing retard(knock) count at?

The 16g is real knock happy. But you should beable to get 14-16* timing at that boost level and running that rich. I could run my stock 21* timing map and 17psi on 91 with little knock, usually under 5 counts.

^^ You can just download the software to view the logs.

Mods are in profile. I have some things I'm still working on before I start tuning again, but I am currently running 12* 18psi 10.5 AFR with 0 knock. The bigger SMIC is better than stock, but prevents me from advancing timing more. That's the price I pay for stealth. Are you monitoring your AFRs with a wideband? I do not see it in the log.

First thing I would recommend is bringing the 2400hz slider down to zero. And bring the 2000hz slider down a few %. Your boostest should drop from you map reading right after 6,000. The reason it's not doing this is because of those sliders.

If you have a GM maf you need to go to the miscellaneous section and click on ignore iat/baro.

Also, the knock your getting isn't something I would worry too much about.

i see,

thanks alot guys!

yea i am using A LC1 WB, when you view the log, you can hit CTRL+A and it will show everything i loged, then go to values and remove what ever you dont wanna see

i am using a stock 2g MAS

a GM MAF or like a GM3bar?

If you are near sea level, then forget about timing on cali 91. I get about 10-12 degrees at about 19psi on a 20G w/ an A/F of 10.8.

From looking at your log...I get a 70-90 time of 3.8-4.0 seconds. That's really slow. Are you doing tuning on a flat road?

try some of the nos octane booster (racing version that bumps you up 6 full points). I was tuning my car and wasnt liking the results (lotsa knock) at 15psi, so i grabbed a bottle, put it in my tank, cranked up the boost to ~18-19psi and got to advance the timing. Well worth the extra $10 a fill up.
I'll see if i can get a log with my car at the 18psi.

check out my logs i posted here, i cant re-post em in a different thread once they are posted so you can check em out.

I think the 2nd and last logs are my best runs, but you can check em all out, 91 octane + a bottle of nos booster, you wont want to run without it!

yea, i just put on some Evo IX BBS rims which are 235/45/17 so im not sure if the speedo is 100% right or not the rims and tires that were on there were 205/50/16

well i just drove side by side with my GF's Neon and our speeds are about the same so i guess i really am making high 3's for my 70-90 times..... damnnnnnnn

you are soooo lucky!!! LOL

i would go to E85 in a heart beat. but im in the valley, Modesto and there is none around here

what did you have to do to swap over?

just 255 AFPR and larger injectors?

or did you need different fuel lines also?

I am going to say you have a leak between the maf and turbo inlet. You shouldn't have to compensate with the airflow sliders that much for a stock maf unless it is hacked. If anything you shouldn't have to compensate more than 3%.

oh i see,

you mean like the BOV is leaking? its a 1g bov uncrushed i am not sure if it leaks or not yet

but i will find out this weekend when i do a BLT

No, between the maf and turbo. This could be the intake pipe itself or a coupler, or the recirculation hose.

ooo i see,

how would i check there?

my bov hose is really old and is kinda of cracking at the ends

also i just ordered a meth kit

They just built a big ethanol plant in Stockton in the port of Stockton, it starts production 10-10-08. The closest station to you is in Tulare. I don't have a station close to me, I just put it in a few 15 gal drums and go once a month.

ohh nice!

i just ordered a meth kit, that will have to do untill i get one that is in modesto LOL
