91-94 DSMLink into a 1990

okay, searched this, couldn't find the exact answer. might be a stupid question but just need an answer.

i'm buying a 1990 eagle talon, need to tune it, if i get a dsmlink v2 for 91-94 i can just plug it in and run? or will i have to switch the ignition wiring?

Its not a '90 DSMLink its a '90 ECU with a DSMLink chip, so you're trying to find the answer to the question "Can I put a '90 ECU in a '91-'94 DSM?"

okay well i figured out the car i'm getting already has a 1990 eprom ecu, so i'm just going to grab up a new dsmlink v3 and not worry about the others. this will not let me have to swap anything correct? i read that article in the vfaq already, i didn't know if a 91-94 ecu with dsmlink installed would be different or not but obviously its the same
