ok, i tried searchin for the answer and there is no thread for it, i was wonderin if there is a blow off valve that DOES NOT vent to the atmosphere that is good, and which one is the one to get, i have a 16g turbo, and a hard intake pipe, which brands should i look at

First I'll predict the future... Half of the replies you will get will say go with the 1g BOV

(by the wayit IS a bypass valve, which is sometimes called a diverter valve, and is usually a good option to hold a decent amount of boost, especially when modified.)

I personally went with boost sciences, as I don't have to BS about getting it to hold 30+ psi. I think they are one of the least well known companies in the DSM community, and yet have good prices, better parts, and are just made to last and work well.

I will point out however, a diverter valve is a very simple device.

Your bov is just fine...Mkay.

Thanx, so... an after market blow off/bypass valve would just be a waste of money if i'm not goin to be runni too hig of boost, i just want some ideas, but i'll look into boost sciences and see what the best idea would be

1G BOV will hold 18-22psi and 25psi plus when properly modified. Unless you're more concern with how it sounds, and of course you're not ;) , then yes, it's a waste of money at least for your application.

i mean, i love the pshh sound it makes, but its stok and i did the air can hack and opened it up anbd got a k&n filter and its plently loud, i want reliable, not just the sound, and not just so i can say i have this kind of BOV, my plans are to end up at around 300hp when i'm done, i have a 16g, a hard intake pipe, and i'm gion with a 2.5 inch stainless exhaust from the turbo back, with no cat, then my plans are to just go with the flow and maybe do a FMIC, i need a manual boost controller, and i need a real boost guage instead of the stock one

Then your 1G bov will serve you just fine, I'm still on the 1G bov as well, just make sure you recirculate. On a side note, I'm thinking about upgrading to 3" exhaust this winter, if you're interested in my Buschur 2.5" SS turbo back w/ hi flow cat, PM me.
