hi guys.i'm panning to buy aneagle talo. The car already has a new suspension, turbo timer, strut tower bar, apexi sfacelectronic rev display.down pipe and exhouse has 2 1/4 pipe.timing belt is done also..but the volve cover gasket is leaking and he want's $1900 for it..what do you guys think..thank you

Ouch my eyes hurt after reading that one!

what year is the car?, see if he allows you to perform a compression test, i wouldnt buy a modded car, they tend to be expensive in the long run but if you sure there's no real damage, then go for it, gl

i say be careful buying a modded car especially if you have no tuning experience, the outcome could be a ass whooping to your pocket if ya know what im saying. :ohdamn:

now thats funny an ass whopping to your pocket but its true i would take it to a DSM mechanic before you buy it and have them check over everything. maybe you could get it for 1,500

i would deffinately not buy a modded car unless you know the person and know the car is not slapped together or almost beat to death. Also the problem with buying a car that is "fixable" is that may not be the only problem, a guy i know just bought a 96 GSX, the guy said it needed new crank bearings but it turned out the whole crank is froze up.

i'd wait if i were you. i searched for a long time before i bought a 95' tsi awd. bought it from some old man who was the only driver. just search the usuall search engines daily until you find a perfect fit for you. i would be wary of buying a modded car.

thanks guys.hi's got all the record of wjta hi did on the car.i check the turbo and it sim to be ok to me theres to play on the shft. it 1991 eagle talon tsi,and i offer hin 1500 and hi simes to be fine with it..

the car has only 145k on it

Do you have any pictures of the car? Did you take a good, long test drive? I know you are excited but, make sure everything is good before buying. Search on here for other posts about what to look for when buying a DSM.

thats not A LOT of miles but its still damn near 150k. but for 1900, thats not bad. i replaced the gasket on my honda engine a while ago, very easy. that gasket should cost like 30 bucks, and it should take you about an hour tops to replace it. unless the previous owner changed it and used sealant like crazy.

thanks again guys. i dont have the pic.but you can try this link Canada Used Autos, Cars, Trucks, Boats, Motorcycles Online Classified Ads - AutoTrader.ca and look for eagle talon..its the white one..i did not take for a long drive coz. the oil is leaking. but he want me to do a comp. test on it..what comp.should i get in its cylender.

How to do a Compression Test

Is it this one? If so, it has a clean interior and nice looking exterior.
