Just got mine a week ago. Dealer didnt know anything about the car, just the fact that it was owned by some gentleman in his 50s.
Car has 117k miles on it. Body, engine, chassis look in good shape, had everything checked out.
Custom intake, blowoff valve along with Greddy turbotimer are noticeable upgrades but engine just doesnt feel nowhere near 200hp. 0-60 around 9.5 seconds. Changed oil, got new sparkplugs installed (NGK BPR9ES), no much difference.
Check engine light was diagnosted - Exhaust Rec. Flow message. They reset it but now its back again.
Going to have engine looked at, but I would appreciate any feedback.
Thanks.

First thing, get new spark plugs. You should NOT be running 9s.

You want NGK bpr6es.

Next, what blow off valve is it and is it recirculating?

Upload an engine picture if you have one.

Finally, Do a boost leak test.

O, and make sure to gap your spark plugs right.

I would also say to change out all fluids, filters, clean the throttle body and anything else you can get your fingers into.

I forgot to mention that compression is pretty low, 135-135-140-145

Engine is for you guys to judge. Going to check it for boost leak tomorrow.

When I did my boost leak test I found it easiest to get a stethoscope from the parts store and listen for leaks with that. Pay close attention to the throttle body, the shaft seals go out easily. Good luck!

You said it had a blow off valve. The one in the picture is a stock one. Is that the one your runnin currently?

If so, then your good in the fact it is recirculating. I love it when people say there car runs bad and they are open venting their bov w/o a gm mas and translator.

Up here in alaska i think... 99.992% of people are blowing off incorrectly. We just had this weak a** car show up here and I think every car's bov was just sitting there... no GM MAF or anything. I tried to fill them in but I guess "running poorly due to incorrect venting is a myth".

Problem solved. There was a boost leak on lower intercooler pipe, also bov was leaking air as well. 100$ to fix, result - 0-60 in 7.1 (A/T)
