buying a 1993 talon tsi, few questions

Ok. it's a 1993 AWD turbo talon, 122000 miles, 5 speed, light front end damage, nothing major, both fenders minor dents, headlight, and minor damage to hood. I am told the motor runs perfectly. It needs a soft plug replaced. I am not sure which plug it is. I am wondering what to look for when inspecting this vehicle to purchace, and how hard will it be to change the plug. The guy I'm buying it from has 6 or 7 Talons and eclipses and told me i can have anything off of the one eclipse that i want. So I am taking the headlight that I need, and possibly a few other things. I just wanted to know what to look or listen for when i hear the car run, and since i can't really drive it what else to look for. Also, He wants $1000 firm, said he'll even deliver it with a flat bed to my house for me. Is this a good price? Thanks.

Also, would like to know best place to find a soft plug, and best way to remove or install new one. thanks. Also, an estimate on cost would be appreciated, thanks.

Shop around for prices, but what you are looking for are freeze plugs.

I'd offer less. Offer a price so low that it doesn't insult him but it sets him back a second. Tell him hell it's worth 1500 running and you can't even DRIVE IT. I'd offer 500 but thats me.

if you can and he has no problem with it disconnect the intake pipe for the turbo and reach in and if theres alot of shaft play or not

thanks, i'll try that.. hopefully i can go hear it run sometime this week.. I have to find a car dolly to get rid of my truck before i can get that car though.
