Wow. I commend buschur for what he did. He put his time and money to make a good quality product and some dishonest a hole to copy it and pass it off as his and charge the same price.

I've personaly had the chance to meet and deal with David Buschur and I know a lot of people think he is a big prick but every interaction I have ever had with him he has always treated me well and other I know. I've been following this on highboostforum.com and facebook and I'm glad he finally caught who was doing this. He has done so much for the DSM/EVO community and this guy, like I'm sure others have, try to copy and rip people off. I'm just glad James Reese has been put out there for everyone to see how disgraceful he is.

what is his or buschar Facebook? I looked for it but couldn't find it....I think its awesome that he is standing up for his product and is pissed because some one is stealing his great product .

Well thats business. Been happening since...forever

You are correct it is business and has been happening forever but it is nice to see someone stand up for their own product.

Usually when you buy cheap copies of original things, you pay little to nothing for it, not full freakin price. If you gotta sell knockoffs, sell 'em cheap and don't claim it is something it isnt!

:( for dishonesty. I hate dishonest people, just freaking tell the truth, it's not as hard as you think.

Lol, I'd like to post this on the SCE forum.
3/4 of the members there have had their car touched one way or another at Reese Tuning.

Everybody makes mistakes and people will always copy some other product in some way shape or form. It is unfortunate that it happened and shouldn't have happened but it happened and James cant take it back. All he can do is just look forward and make sure to not make any more mistakes like this. Either people love Reese Tuning or they hate Reese Tuning. Just because they had a blow out with David doesn't mean that they cant do good work. No other evo/dsm shop in socal is a BR dealer because he is very hard to get along with no matter who you are. I was there in August for the BR shootout and he is very nice at some points but he can be a big dick as well. I will not be saying anything else other then it doesn't look good for either shop.

Well, take it as a lesson learned and make your own products. The copied part isn't some super innovative part anyways. It's a battery tray. Seriously.

Go put some fresh ideas on paper and make something new for the automotive community.

Copying ideas is part of life, it is just more interesting to have the same idea on your own and seeing your variation of it, rather than taking someone else's idea as your own.

That boost controller post is hilarious. There's no new technology in that at all. Nothing was ripped off. Christ, if you hooked up a mbc on a dsm and left the bcs on it it would be about the same thing hahaha.

In all due respect to David, he made an attempt to buy and resell a as is product. They refused, he took their design and improved on it. ReeseTuning on the other hand, took his design and made an exact replica and failed. The part is inferior. There were no improvements. Therefore the post about the the mbc is irrelevant. He improved the design. That by definition would be a new product, same design. If you want to stick with that post then the company he took and improved the design on would also be a "thief" they took the design of a mbc and improved on it. No one is talking mess on perrin for stealing a design and improving on it.

But there's a difference between copying a design and selling as your own and copying and passing it off as the original. ReeseTuning was copying the battery tray and passing it off as davids. David took a design from perrin and improved it and called it his own. That's what this thread is all about.

Agreed. I don't condone Reese's wrongdoings at all, but if he had half a brain, he would have designed and produced a better battery tray and sold it for 25% less that Buschur's.

On a similar note; I stopped by over on EVOm today for my yearly visit, and it reminded me of how fortunate I feel about Dave not being an active part of this site.
