Bumper fitment issues

SO you just going to shim the bumper is to fit, is where your going with this?

But also in pic numper 3 it looks like the mumper needs to go back a little bit for the headlight to fit without a gap as well..But see what you can figure out man, I'm sure you'll get it

You said you can push it up so it allignes correctly. Why not just slot the holes where the original bolt goes and use a washer and bolt to hold it at the new point. That way you can adjust it when need be. Seems a lot easier than cutting the support.

That is actually is fitting ok, just poor lighting on that side. The problem is that it sits too far foreward on the top section there. See pic # 1 and 2, you can see where I have the ruler there that it is sitting 15mm too far foreward.

Because if I push it back to where is sits correctly, the bolt holes are almost completely covered. And as you can see in pic 3 that the bolt heads are butted up against the lip in the top of the bumper. I would have to drill into that lip to oblong the holes enough.

I can not tell buy your pics because you do not include any headlight, fender, and hood pics. But you may be able to drill the holes in the hood hinge and slide it forward a bit. Taking some of your gap.

LOL. Same thing I going through. Took the bumper out and when I put back in; it does fit like it should. Having a gap now.

If I just move the hood foreward, just move the gap to the rear or the hood. And it will not latch properly and it will not line up with the tips of the fenders. I did not include pics of the fenders and such is because they all line up perfect. Everywhere fits perfect bit this top part of the bumper.

Check pic 1 you can see the very corners of the headlights. The gap is good, I just need to get the top of the bumper pushed in a bit.

I know this thread is old. I rembered posting in it awhile ago. I swaped hoods today. I took a mitsu hood off and put on an aftermarket (cert-i-fit or equivalant) so I can fill some dents and paint my oem hood. found out that the after market hood is around 1/4" shorter than the factory hood. So this may be some of you guys issues. My oem hood measured 41 1/4" and the after market measured 41".

You could redrill the holes in the top of the hinge. Or elongate the holes that are there making it slidable untill you get it right..Move them forward to reach the hood latch..1/4 inch should not look that strange on the back near the cowl, and wipers.
