building my motor

ok lots to cover...i recently spun a rod bearing in my 7 bolt motor. I think it was becaus eof low oil pressure? I have a 6 bolt lined up to put into my car but it is off of a na 1990 car. Im getting the motor pretty cheap and i recently bought 1g pistons and rods. My goal is a 450whp car. That goal will be pushing my rods to the limit. I can get wiseco pistons with eagle rods for $780. I figure I am going to have to pay for the machine work so why not do it right. Who knows? may want alot of power down the line. I have a big turbo...a Holset Hx 35 with an internal wastegate. The lowest i can set this turbo is 21 lbs of boost. I figure to get the most out of my turbo i might want to go aftermarket. rods and pistons. Im also wondering what kinda boost i will be able to run and is 8.2:1 going to be a good compression ratio for me?

I would have the block built by your machineist that knows the 4g63 engine well and has experience with them if you have not built motors in the past and dont all the right tools to to so. Its money well spent. I would run a 8.5:1 piston and scat rods with a floating wrist pin.

How much did the paint job cost you? I was looking at work (automotive paint store) and found the house of kolors kandy tangerine for a gallon of just the orange i think it was 130 something, and i get 40% off of that price. what all did you need for that color? i'm getting a 2g soon and plan on buying this paint VERY soon. here is a pic that i found , it looks brighter on this car though?

those headlights are sick...but anyway i bought the car painted. he told me it cost him about 700 to do the entire car without any labor costs cuz his dad paints cars and bikes. mine is basically the same coor as that car you posted up. has a silver base with the tangerine overtop..it gives it a metalic flake look that is really nice..u cant tell in my pic but its got sprakles throughout, that car probably does too
