Ok I have a 99 gst and with about 150xxx miles the stock turbo started leaking oil in in high boost. So I've decided to build a nice 350-375 hp street car but don't know much about turbos to make a wise choice on which brand and size to go with. The car as it stands makes 290 at the wheels so hopefully with the right turbo and a good tune I should reach my mark. Any ideas on which turbo I should run would be highly appreciated

This is why an alleged 290whp on 450s is a bad idea, especially if OP is on stock pump (non-rewired), stock fuel lines/fittings, fuel filter, etc...

Look at the fuel setup I was running when I did this, listed in post #12 and tell me what you think the outcome would be for this kid LOL

More to the point, T25 or 13G.. this would be a no-nitrous HP record if I recall correctly. Who is your tuner/dad? What shop?

Awh shucks he done opened a can of worms now :p
I think he put his foot in his mouth. Besides the point dont come into the forums claiming stuff like that, someone here is bound to call BS ( Especially the guru's) hehe.
OP i think you need to reevaluate your upgrade path. Starting from the bottom and working your way to the top offers more comprehensive learning about how things work and wont work. Sure everyone on this site wants to go fast but they have all started from the bottom at some point. Dont be the guy that blows his motor all cause you wanted to cut corners and half ass your supporting mods

290whp, even front whp and not awhp is a lot.. like starting to max out the 14B and well beyond any compressor map I've seen for a JB T25.

The highest registered on the Tuner dyno challenge T25 is 267/248 on a dynojet which isn't the be all end all, but it does a nice job to illustrate the difference between the 14B and T25.. I did 250whp/260wtq (Link showed ~26lbs/min)on a 14B some years ago at 15-16psi boost and an aggressive tune.

Current 14B record registered on Tuners is 324awhp/306awtq on a mustang dyno.

The most I've ever seen out of my own 14B was just a bit shy of 35lbs/min, but it never saw a dyno or a drag strip on that setup unfortunately so what that would translate to in actual whp on a dyno is up for speculation. That was in my tinned out Laser FWD too which could've made for a great back half/trap speed. The 70-90 times were great for a small turbo, I'll post them if I can find those logs.
