I broke the circled clip (not my car but hijacked a picture). Where can I get another
one and what is it called?

I have a huge tie wrap holding it because I have to get to work. Not sure if that is ok.

My rear is a 3 bolt if that helps.

Thanks

You can always use a big worm clamp. I wouldn't trust a zip tie unless its a thick one that you can tighten really good.

Great idea, thanks. Zip tie was just to get me to work today.

I agree with getting a worm clip on there. One, metal is stronger than a plastic zip-tie. Two, if you use a zip tie, there'll be a scrunched up section of the rubber boot that could leak the grease inside. The worm clamp won't have this issue. Good luck.

You should be able to get another CV Boot Clamp at any part store. If not, they should have stainless steel "zip" ties (for header wrap) and that will work better than any zip tie, and will not throw off the rotational balance as much as a worm clamp.

Thanks guys...I forgot to get a worm clamp and grease has come out everywhere. I think that I might have done some damage. A new post about that is coming.

As said above you can buy CV boot kits to replace the metal clamp. If the boots in good condition repack some grease in there, reclamp it and you should be good to go.

#2 would be a worm gear style.
#3 a heavy duty zip tie. (some cv kits actually only come with thick zip ties with kits now)
