so yeah a bolt broke off in part of the engine well broke in half and cant get it out so i was thinking on using a handheld battery charged dremal with a speed set to like maybe drill a hole in the broke bolt and just smooth it around tell it gets small enough that it comes free bad idea ?? oh yeah the bolt is on the turbo its for the oil line darn bolt was old and decided to break in half while it was being tighten but if i use a small enough drill bit u think ill b alright ??

Hey man, I really can't figure out what your saying but what I got from it you should do this.
1) Go to a local building supply and buy one of these:
You must be logged in to view this image or video.

2)you drill a hole about the size of around the middle (maybe more twards the front of the extractor) into the broken bolt and make sure to drill ALL THE WAY THROUGH.

3)Instert this extractor into your drilled hole and just tap it with a hammer but not hard!

4)Spray some PB blaster or something on your brokjen bolt and let it sit for 5-10 mintues. Turn this extractor to the left with the supplied tool or with some vice grips. This extractor is threaded to the left so as you turn it left is screws into your hole until it can't go in any further because of the cone shaped design. The pressure then gets soo great that it stops screwing into your hole drilled, but starts unscrewing your bolt.

5)Recommend me to someone and tell them that I need to be rated so I can quit posting in the noob section!!:thumb:

Since the bolt you broke is on the turbo and not the engine, you have two options.

1. AK_4g63 method, works well I have had to use that one several times, but haveing the right tools help any job go smooth.

2. Take your turbo to a machine shop, and they will be able to do it for you if your unsure of how to do it, or not the right tools.

A battery powered dremel, will work ok but if its like a grade 8 bolt (hope not) it may where the battery down being a hardened steel bolt. I recommend a drill its self for this job. Could probably purchase a corded drill for around the same price as an actual dremel.

Also....
drill bit u think ill b alright ??
please use proper english "drill bit you think I'll be alright?"

all else fails, drill it out and tap it, if you mess this up heli coil it. I would try all the other steps mentioned first though, and if you can remove it, it will make life a whole lot easier
