Need some help fellow dsmers. A few of the mounting holes on the top of the bumper are broken off so i have some bumper sag. Any ideas on what i could use to repair the mounting points? :hmm: Its the stock 91 urethane bumper with a jmfab bumper support.

I drilled a hole through the fender somewhere and drilled a hole I the bumper and put a nut and a bolt to tighten them up, problem solved.

I may have to do that since some of the points are broken off

Yes I agree I used the oem bolts long ones and grabbed some from my dsm bolt box, or lowes to match up cheap fix.

X2
Thats what I had to end up doing too..I think the threaded part snapped on both sides. And i had to redrill, add washers and new nuts and bolts.

Oh the threaded part is fine. Its the tabs on the urethane bumper that are broken off. I was thinking about going buy some sort of metal brackets to attach to the bumper and using some type of jb weld. I assume that would hold. The front bumpers aren't really that heavy

I just used self tapping bolts (metal framing bolts) and did new holes in the bumper and the front support. Three out of the 4 stock mounts had sheared off bolts in them from one of the po's. Havent had a problem since and its still easy enough to remove.

Yep. I had to do the same. I used self tapping as well. 3 years strong now and no issues.
