Okay so I'm looking at CF hoods and front bumpers that I'll eventually get for my car after a few engine mods.

I came across one that I really like (called "R34" or "Octane") but there is 2 types of it, or it seems so.
I like the "Type 2" way better because its opened up more and has round edges between the headlights. The "type 1" has a square kind of design between the headlights (but type 1 has the side lights opening for the front bumper, type 2 does not). Is there another name for the "Type 2" or is it just a different company?

CF hood yes.... bumper no.... in other words CF = :).... bumper =:barf:

I know people call it "ricer" blah blah or whatever. I thought the same thing but I've always liked the R34 style front bumper and I have also had my eye on an Evo style CF hood or an Invader style CF hood. I saw a picture with the Invader CF hood and the R34 bumper and it looks AMAZING. I absolutely love the way it looks.... heres a pic.....

It actually looks like they are supposed to go together with the way the hood's slope continues down with the bumper... The only thing this guy is missing is a FMIC to show off in that nice opening :)

I don't have love for body KITS, I like the front bumper style of the R34, I don't like different side skirts and I HATE different rear bumpers. I was actually just going to cut open the stock front bumper if it was 97-99. But then I saw a picture with the hood and bumper I like.... and BAM! I wanna follow through with it. I'm not gonna be "show > go". Like I said, gonna do some other mods first :thumb:. It will be like "go > or = show"

Leave the R34 look to the R34's. CF parts are always a good idea though.

If I get a 95-96 then I'm going to do the bumper swap so I can put 97-99 headlights in but if I get a 97-99 I'm just going to get the CF hood and cut the bumper open a little more because I could always spend that $250 on something else other than a bumper.

the only thing i can say about this is fiberglass sucks! I had a good budy who bought the r34 front off E.D a couple of years ago and it looked great for the first couple months but they dont take much to get fouled up ! oem is much more durable.,

that is probably the least ugly after market bumper i have seen heck its not bad. to bad it has the side vents i dont really like that part and the fact its fiberglass would have me shopping for an oem. but i agree its not bad

Body kit is not ricey imo, as long as it look professional. I would just get the cf hood and keep stock bumper and they have a lip for it also.
